RIGHTPLUG ALLIANCE.


The RightPlug Alliance is a member controlled
not-for-profit organization that develops, maintains and publishes the RightPlug Standard.

Membership is open to any organization or individual that is involved in the design or manufacture of electrical products or of ancillary products related to digital encoding of electrical plugs.

ABOUT THE RIGHTPLUG STANDARD

  • Digital encoding of plugs allowing information to be stored within the
    plug body.
  • Information stored in the plug is readable by smart outlets, hand-held devices and computer connected readers.
  • Product identification, authentication and electrical rating information is encoded inside the plug.
  • Application-specific information enables enhanced functionality.
